Sonja Boggs, M.S.
About Sonja:
Sonja’s passion is to empower women and men of all ages to discover their potential and to live a higher quality lifestyle with a sense of well-being and confidence.
Sonja struggled with weight herself as a young adult and over the course of a year successfully lost 30 pounds, which she has since maintained with the ongoing practice of healthy lifestyle habits. She learned the most effective way to lose weight and keep it off was not through restrictive dieting, but by respecting and valuing her body with regular healthy choices. She believes all foods can be a part of a healthy lifestyle as long as you take care of yourself with good lifestyle choices in nutrition, exercise, sleep, and most importantly, a positive mind-set.
Experience:
Sonja has been in the health and fitness field for over 10 years. Most recently, she has coached clients on successful lifestyle change as a wellness coach. She also has inspired wellness in the classroom as a faculty member of the Exercise Science Department at George Washington University. In addition, she has presented in both corporate & community settings on a variety of wellness topics including lifestyle change, weight management, and stress reduction.
Previously, she managed corporate and non-profit fitness centers, designed health promotion programs in areas such as weight loss and chronic disease management, and taught group fitness classes.
